Friday weddings are the best. They aren't mainstream, which is one of the many reasons that we love them…they call to our inner hipster. Beyond our inherent desire to “be different”, Friday weddings offer so much more than people realize. So before you dismiss us for our millennial notions, here are a couple of reasons why you should consider hosting your big day on a Friday.

Your wedding day is all about celebrating; celebrating the shared love between you and your significant other, most significantly. But what makes this celebration so special is the people that you will be surrounded by. A group of friends and family that will more than likely never be in the same building together again. But YOUR wedding, YOUR celebration, and YOUR love brought all of these people together for this one special night.

But what if you could continue the celebrations past this one special night? This is where Friday weddings are advantageous. Having your wedding on a Friday opens up your entire weekend for more festivities and celebrations. You can have brunch with your grandparents, lunch with your out-of-town guests, and cocktails with your closest friends, all before you jet off on your dream honeymoon. And the icing on the cake… you will have enough time to say a genuine “thank you” to everyone who took time out of their schedules to celebrate YOU. Not only will venues and vendors be available AND jump at the chance to host/work your wedding, they'll probably do it at a discount. All the stress of finding the right date, florist, caterer, band, photographer, etc. will melt away when you choose a Friday and see how much money you are saving!

In the end, the day you choose to have your wedding is not the most important thing you will do in your life. Making a commitment to someone and vowing to honor, cherish, and love them forever is far more important than what kind of flowers you choose, or what flavor of cake you will have.
